Waiting List

The parent/guardian must complete the Navarre Montessori Academy Waitpool Enrollment Form. This form is available online.

Casa de Niños

Kindergarten

& Elementary

Thank you for your interest in Navarre Montessori Academy. Due to high demand and our commitment to maintaining low student-teacher ratios, space in our classrooms is limited. Families who are interested in enrolling their child(ren) are invited to join our Waitpool.

How the Enrollment Process Works

  1. Complete the Waitpool Enrollment Form

The parent or guardian must fill out the Navarre Montessori Academy Waitpool Enrollment Form, available here. This helps us gather essential information about your family and your child’s needs.

  2. School Tour or Open House

After submitting the form, families may be invited to attend a school tour or open house. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our Montessori philosophy, meet the staff, and observe our prepared environments.

  3. Eligibility & Priority Considerations

Waitpool placement is not first-come, first-served. Priority is given based on:

    • Availability in the appropriate age group

    • Siblings of currently enrolled or accepted students

    • Military families

    • Readiness for a Montessori environment

    • Family openness to learning about and supporting the Montessori method at home

📌 All children must meet the specific requirements for their age group, as outlined below.

Casa de Niños (Ages 2.5–6)

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 2.5 years old

  • Must be fully potty-trained

  • Must demonstrate emerging independence and willingness to separate from parents

  • Students may be invited for a five-day classroom visit to help determine whether the environment is the right fit for the child and the community. After this visit, we will evaluate the best next step for the child.

Elementary (1st–6th Grade)

Requirements:

  • Should have completed Kindergarten or a previous Montessori program, or demonstrate readiness for a Montessori Elementary environment

  • Should be at or near grade level in reading and math. If the child is still developing in these areas, parents must be willing to partner with us in supporting both their child's academic and emotional growth

  • Should demonstrate emotional maturity, the ability to work independently, and a respectful attitude toward others

  • Students may be invited for a 30-day trial period to ensure the classroom is the right fit.

📌 Please note: During the trial period, we consider not only the child’s adjustment and engagement but also the collaboration and communication demonstrated by their parents or guardians.

Dress Code

Dress Code

We have established rules for proper dress code with the aim of making your child’s school experience as pleasant, positive, and successful as possible. We ask that you help your child learn the new dress code so that he/she can make appropriate choices when dressing for school. Our students wear a school uniform on a daily basis. This policy must be adhered to so that our student body develops a feeling of community and belonging. We have heard on numerous occasions about the complexity of getting a child dressed in the morning. Therefore, we have chosen to become a uniform school as of August 2017.
